Vivian has been a member of the gym for 4 months now. She is awesome to work with and always works hard with a smile on her face. Since starting at the gym she has lost 14 pounds and increased her strength and fitness immensely. We're very excited to see what great things Vivian can accomplish in the next year!

What made you decide to try The VGV?
"I did a trial class over a year ago at Luke's old location. I found him very approachable and knowledgeable plus the workouts were fun and challenging. Unfortunately, work and home life got in the way shortly after and I ended up putting off my fitness plan. One year later, after my 40th birthday, I decided that it was time to finally do something about my health and weight. I called Luke, went for a trial class in his new gym and the rest is history."
What is your favourite thing about The Village Gym Vaughan?
"What I like the most at VGV is the [workout] program and circuit. The program is clearly laid out with repetitions and weights so there is no guessing. The circuit is different each time and it really is the toughest part of the class! But Luke always finds ways to push me to do my absolute best every time. Having to workout alongside friendly, like-minded people also helps with motivation."
What's your favourite exercise?
"My favourite exercise is the deadlift. To me, it's a powerful and functional exercise that gives me a total body workout. I always feel strong after completing a set. "
What's your least favourite exercise?
"Sorry Luke, but it has to be the step up!"
A year from now, what do you want to be able to do?
"In a year, I would like to be able to 1) do an unassisted chin up, 2) do 20 push ups in one go and 3) go rock climbing!"
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
"My superpower would be to time travel. I'm planning to bring back the sports almanac for 2000-2050. It's on my bucket list."
